Interview:

Why did you decide to run for this position?

I’m passionate that every single one of you should make the most of all that uni life has to offer! If I can’t help you, I will make sure you’re directed to the support systems that are in place to ensure that you never have to feel alone!

What has been your best experience whilst you’ve been involved with SUSU?

My best experience can’t be pinpointed to one event, experiencing the feeling of inclusion and really feeling a part of the union during my time here has been amazing!

What makes you the best candidate for the job?

Because you can contact me anytime you like with absolutely any issue, no matter how big or small. I will listen and fight for your voice to be heard!

Why does the University need a Welfare VP?

The Welfare umbrella covers so many vitally important issues that it couldn’t possibly be taken on as a secondary area by another Sabbatical VP! Students deserve a passionate and dedicated individual who will fight for their rights and enforce policies to make their time at uni even better.

What is your welfare related horror story? (e.g. horrific housing etc).

I’ve been lucky so far (touch-wood), but my friend’s shower leaked through the light downstairs and blew the entire house’s electricity!

What have you enjoyed most so far about the elections?
I’ve really enjoyed the challenge of organising the campaign with my team, and the debates and interviews on SUSU TV and Surge Radio.
