Rag Fashion 2007

Friday, 12 May, saw the Turner Sims Concert hall transformed into the place to be for fashionistas. The RAG Fashion and Dance Show was coming to town to raise money for Leukamia Busters.

Organised in a joint effort by the Law Society and Southampton Student RAG (Raise and Give) the Show was an unmitigated success, the audience entertained by perfomers from the Breakdance Society and dazzled by students modelling clothes from Envy, Bank, Kew, Republic and Pronuptia. Also collaborating on the project were Stage Soc, John Lewis Shine, and the Turner Sims itself.

Under flashing lights and to a pumping soundtrack the models strutted their stuff across the stage, a cavalcade of flowing locks, pouts, winks and kisses. And that was just the boys. Cheered on by the whole audience the models promenades were interspersed by Break Dance Soc’s dance-offs, some very impressive moves gaining much applause. The swim wear section received a hearty cheer from all happy to see new Union president Ben Rogers do his bit for charity. A bit of girl-on-girl action later and it was all over for another year.
