Location, location, location not just a daytime TV programme, but also an important factor in your sexual habits.  Where do you do it?  Are you a conventional bed lover or do you like to be at one with nature?

I’m not just thinking about sex in public places because I’m  a perve, but because new proposals have suggested that sex in public toilets may be legalised, how romantic!  Sex on the beach is one thing, but in a grotty public toilet?  Whatever turns you on.

So long as the cubicle door is shut then why shouldn’t you have your wicked way in the local amenities, I’m sure you wouldn’t be the first.  One view is, if you can’t be seen then what’s the harm.  You still maintain the excitement of potentially getting caught, but in reality you are behind closed doors.  Yet, if it’s going to be legalised I think they should have the decency of making it a little bit easier for heterosexual couples.  Boys can’t just stroll into the girls toilets without getting some very strange looks and vice- versa.  I think unisex toilets are the way to go, then everyone is a winner.  At least with unisex toilets men will know that when we girls go to the toilet in groups, it doesn’t mean we are all lesbians getting up to funny business.  Although, I don’t  really want to be applying my lipstick with some guy next to me at the urinals!  And what about those awful dates when you pretend you need the toilet just as a method of escape?

I think that there’s a clear difference between the possibility that you may get caught and satisfying your urges somewhere where you are likely to get caught, this is where the boundary lies for me.  I can see the anxiety such a proposal arouses, where will it end, will it then be legal to have sex in your car, on the train, in a furniture store on the display beds?  At the end of the day public toilets are a service provided for us all.  If they’re just going to become some free for all sex den then you may as well put beds in there and stuff the toilets, who wants to go for a wee anyway?  And without unisex toilets we find heterosexual couples being discriminated against, when it comes to public sex we want equal opportunities for all!

Whoever said ‘out of sight out of mind’ lies.  I think not being seen is a key factor, but what about being heard.  Some people really take freedom of expression to the limits when dabbling in hanky panky.  Do I want to hear them, would you want young children to hear them, certainly not!  It’s worrying enough for a parent to let a child out of their sight at any time, but if you’re a mother waiting outside the boys’ toilets or a father outside the girls’ who knows what your child will be exposed to.  It’s not the most effective way of having your child introduced to sex, ‘No daughter, sex isn’t about when two people love each other...blah,blah... it’s about having it off in the local lav’.  Not the message I’d like to send the next generation.

Whether the proposal is legalised or not, there is still an offence called ‘outraging public decency’.  So, if you find such behaviour outrageous and obscene the participants can still be prosecuted.  Of course, if you don’t care then let them copulate to their hearts desire.  The best part is that ‘outraging public decency’ is a common law offence which means you can carry out a citizen’s arrest.  So, next time you open a cubicle door in Jesters to find a couple enjoying carnal knowledge of each other, just be sure to remember that you can exercise your rights and apprehend the couple, (I’m sure they’ll thank you for it)!
