Rhona achieved national recognition for speaking her mind on the hit TV show I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here. Her much repeated "sometimes we're all like that," speech is now part of television folklore and led to her picking up the award for Best TV Reality Moment 2002. However, prior to this she had already established herself as 'one of the best' (The Scotsman) stand-up comediennes in the UK.
In 1992 she won Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny Award. Her numerous TV appearances include Have I Got News For You, Frank Skinners Show, Top of the Pops and Jonathon Ross Tonight. In 2000 she wrote and starred in her own sitom series, Rhona, for BBC2.
More recently Rhona has appeared in the national tour of The Rocky Horror Show, the West End cast of The Vagina Monologues and hosted ITV's celebrity game show, Russian Roulette and The Luvvies for LWT.
Rhona performs at The Nuffield as part of a national tour. The tour coincides with the release of her debut book, nineteen seventy-nine A Big Year in a Small Town (Ebury Press).
'Her standup comedy is a world away from her stand up rows on I'm A Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here. Rhona's humour is smart, self-deprecating and almost novelistic in its introspection.'
The Guardian
'There's no finer saboteur of social stereotypes ... impossible to resist.'
Sunday Times
'Her live comedy is tart, zesty and studded with one liners, book early.'
Evening Standard
Tickets cost £14 - £16.50, available from the Box Office on 023 8067 177
