A new National Student Chess League is taking off at myleague.com.

The hope is to unite thousands of students from colleges and universities across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom in a classic game of strategy (and boredom beating - perfect for the long summer holiday!)

The league is completely free and tournaments will be put on from time to tiime for those interested. All that you need to do in order to enter into the league is sign up at the site: www.myleague.com/nsc.

As this chess league is totally dedicated to UK students, some form of proof of student status will eventually be required, however, the National Student Chess League assures all potential members that their privacy will be respected and any information supplied will not be passed on to any third parties. As for spam, myleague.com who run the league operate an opt-out service when members sign up, so that they can choose whether or not they would like to receive newsletters and other such emails from the site. So, you can play chess, have fun and be safe!
