As the track skipped she snarled to onlookers that she "hadn’t travelled for four hours for this" and claimed to Union staff that she had been bottled. She stormed from the premises and the crowd were informed of her departure, which was met with boos as was the DJ’s next track by her former band. When this was replaced with Steps revellers cheered. Jo’s agent informed event organisers that the Union will be getting their money back.
Last one to the top's a....! Southampton students set out to conquer Everest on Tuesday 2nd November, when they took part in the Everyday Sport challenge to collectively climb the height of the summit in exchange for goodie bags (and, of course, improved health!) While they may not have managed the massive height required to top the mountain, they certainly conquered Church Lane! Luke Aaron, Paul Ignotus and Tom Lambert were among those students who contributed over 100 steps to the 2,657ft achieved overall, but all were put to shame by senior lecturer Eric Cooke who managed over 200 steps – 95 steps more than any other student.
Dimmer-stitute than ever: An investigation by BBC current affairs programme Inside Out has revealed a disintegration of standards at rival HE institution, Southampton Solent University, where degree marks are allegedly being bumped up by lecturers.
