Union President Candidate Withdraws from Elections

Presidential candidate Dan Branch has pulled out of elections only two days after nominations were announced and online campaigning began.

Branch posted on his Facebook this morning, saying:

“aaaaand I’m out. Sorry guys. If you’re gonna vote for anybody you should vote for the pirate.”

Branch’s Facebook page for elections has been shut down, but his website is still active at the time of writing.

There are nine candidates left in the running for Union President, and their live debate is this evening after the debates for VP Sports Development and VP Student Communities.
