Final Result: 140-136 to Portsmouth after Downhill Mountain Biking event added to the scoreboard. It was a hard day for #TeamSoton but they fought to the very end and we are proud of you!

Final Archery scores Southampton seniors got 2166 and Portsmouth 1586 (competed in teams of 4) Novices (teams of 3) Southampton scored 1584 and Portsmouth 1188. Thanks to Archery President Simon King for the update.

Southampton take victory in the trampolining!
Men’s Basketball finished 64-53.
Tchoukball score is 45-33 (to Soton) at the end of the second third.
It’s now tied at 122-122!
In other Sports related (but not Varsity) news Southampton Stags are currently playing Leeds Celtic. Stags are ahead 29-6.
Wins from Southampton Cricket Women’s 1st, Men’s 2nd, Hockey Men’s 1st and Swimming mean it is now 122 – 118.

We were delighted to receive a visit just now from members of Southampton Dodgeball. Vicky Patey (Vice President) Josh Gaunt (Men’s Captain) and Steph Chatfield (Women’s Captain) were over the moon at their squad’s comprehensive victory, with both the men’s and women’s teams triumphing over their Portsmouth rivals. However they also took the time to commend the sportsmanship of their opponents, who they had previously competed against in friendlies.
5-4 to Southampton in the men’s 1st hockey!
Dodgeball’s win now means there is only 4 in it.
Second quarter of Basketball finished 38 – 23.
Basketball scoreline 32 – 21 in Portsmouth’s favour.
It’s now 17-6 to the Stags at Wide Lane after two quick touchdowns.
The 1st Men’s Squash has just secured another win. That’s now 106 – 98 to Portsmouth.
And it’s also now 10-0 in the women’s football. Symmetry
It’s now 10-0 to the Stags in the American football semi finals. The women’s football team are falling further behind and it’s now 9-0.
Portsmouth Basketball now ahead 18 – 9.
Netball 2nd have now added another 4 to Portsmouth’s tally.

Archery have managed to score Southampton 8 more points. Now 102 – 94.
Men’s 1st basketball is off and running, score 8 – 8.
Portsmouth Ladies now leading 7-0 in the football. This is turning into a cricket score sadly.

102 – 86. I’m no Maths student, is that it for Southampton?
5-0 to Portsmouth in the Ladies football. The scoreline might not reflect the overall play. Back at Wide Lane, the Stags are winning 7-0 in their semi final match.
4-0 now. In more positive news it’s 2-2 in the Men’s 1st lacrosse match.
3-0 now. Not looking good for the hockey/football team.

Forget Dodgeball, the Women’s football has the potential to be a true underdog story!
Southampton ladies are currently down 49 – 47 in Basketball.

Our reporter Richard is telling us that the Women’s 1st football team is about to kick off with most of their team made up of hockey players.
Portsmouth ahead now 90 – 82.
Cricket is underway at Portsmouth Grammar School, a solid few overs from Soton. In the mixed Table Tennis, it was a 12-6 win for Southampton.
Final result – its finished 4-1 to Soton in the Women’s 1st hockey. Not an action packed second half but a solid performance. Well done Ladies!
The women’s 1st football team are waiting for the hockey teams to move to the other pitch. Conditions still aren’t great outside and they’ve had to draft Izzy in to fill the team.
Portsmouth have got a goal back in the Women’s Hockey, making it 4-1 to Soton.
The Ladies lacrosse are also winning 23-10!
Chatting to trampolinettes, they’re fairly confident and teaching us about the puke straddle!
We’re hearing that the ladies 1st hockey are beating Portsmouth 4-0 at the moment.
12 – 6 currently for Soton in Table Tennis.
Result from the Men’s 2nd team and Southampton have won 3-2! Still a few points to play for.
Rushed to trampolining…and it hasn’t started yet! Ages from anywhere, hopefully something exciting will happen to make up for the fact that we’re literally miles out the way and it’s pouring.

That comeback has turned into a winning one and it’s finished 7-6 to Portsmouth. We’re hearing the winning goal was scored by a Pompey player diving into the crowd no less. True commitment

We’re also hearing that the Ladies 1st are 3-0 up in the hockey
Portsmouth are currently ahead in the Men’s Rugby 2nd 71-5.
30 points left to play for today, so there’s still time for Team Soton to claw it back!
The ultimate frisbee team are 4-1 up against Portsmouth. We’re hearing there have been a few injuries as well.

Men’s 2nd hockey captain for Southampton: ”Disappointing that they lost most of the possession in the match, they just fell asleep in the second half. I couldn’t shed my opinion on the ref, especially after being sin binned”

Portsmouth have won the Men’s 100m relay race down at the athletics track.
Men’s Hockey back to 2-1, our reporter Joe is telling us the referee is a bit dodgy…
Isabella Hunter-Fajardo, Fencing: “We smashed it. The ladies, all three weapons. I’m pretty sure the girls were up ten points most of the time. One of our saberist smashed a thumb nail of a Pompey person, but that’s just part of the sport. One of the girls also did the splits; true story.”

The Wessex Scene are finally on the bus. There’s an air of frustration amongst the teams as things get off to a shaky start. It’s also raining. Which isn’t helping.
