For those of you who enjoy their house music, for those of you who enjoy radio and for those of you who are struggling to find a station worth listening to - stop looking, and read this.

Rapidly becoming one of the biggest house music stations on the world wide web, SSRadio UK, the brain child of Dave Jay, Nick Pavord and Matt Sims, has gone from strength to strength since its launch, seeing popularity soar as one of the most listened to online house music radio stations currently available.

Whilst predominantly a house music station, SSRadio does also incorporate a wide range of similar genres, including Funk, Soul, Rare Groove and Jazz to name a few, adding variety to the broadcast schedule.

Launched in June 2005, SSRadio (SSR) is at the cutting edge of online radio. Dedicated solely to providing our listeners with the finest House music from around the world, SSR showcases exclusive shows from premier industry leaders, talented up-and-comers and renowned pioneers that have shaped the style of a generation.

SSR is recognised for its quality and diversity of programming, and attracts the most dedicated DJs and producers from around the world. With dedicated servers broadcasting 24/7, SSR’s scheduled programming include a large percentage of live shows, streamed by thousands of global listeners on a daily basis.

Since it’s inception, SSR has gained the support of several major record labels which has allowed SSR to provide listeners with the opportunity to access exclusive live broadcasts from major global house events around the world, including London, Ibiza and Miami.

In addition to scheduled programming, SSR offers its listeners with an on-demand ‘listen-again’ feature, podcasting options, a real-time chat room, and a forum to discuss all that’s happening in the world of House. Furthermore, SSR has promoted a culture from which a dedicated online House community of registered listeners has developed.

The station, now in association with Hype Energy, has also obtained many partnerships within the scene, such as House music download sites and magazines. This is not only to promote the music, but also to promote the importance of supporting the artists that keep the scene alive and vibrant. A number of the DJs hosting shows on SSR also produce tracks, such as Doobie J (Citrus Sound) and DJ Disciple (Catch 22 Recordings) as well as shows from the heavy weights such as Defected Records and Traxsource.
