‘Blonde ambition’, is it too much of a cliché when describing Stephanie McIntosh? Probably not to be honest. The leggy Neighbours star has taken the route well trodden by her colleagues and is pursuing a pop career.

The SUSU Freshers’ Party bore witness to strong vocals and a charismatic performance as she continued her tour of the UK promoting ‘Tight Rope’, her new album.

Having enjoyed a great deal of success in Australia, going gold in the first week of her single release and securing a lucrative record deal, the time has come for a foreign invasion. You may be quick to dismiss her as another actresss/singer convert or one hit wonder, but this girl does have talent, and more importantly, she has ambition and drive.

Citing the likes of Pink and Madonna as inspirations, she respects them, not only because they’re successful but for the reasons they behind their success. She applies herself and has enjoyed the long hours and rigourous schedule. Working tirelessly on her vocals, fitness and listening to whatever she can get her hands on.

‘So do I say sorry first’ follows the lead single ‘Mistake’ and looks to be a success if the reaction in the Cube is anything to go by.

Stephanie stormed the stage to a deafening ovation by the crowd and their enthusiasm was rewarded as she tore through ‘Mistake’ and the new single. The album itself is a solid pop performance and shows great potential. This majestic Melbourne beauty is a tempting siren and is well worth a download.
