But nevertheless the song is quintessentially Rise Against with a catchy chorus, a good melody and clever lyrics. There is little difference in this track from their previous material but it does seem more commercially accessible but hopefully they won’t lose their edge. It is an unusually long song for Rise Against but most of the songs on their new album, ‘Appeal to Reason’ exceed the four minute mark. The added length has meant ‘Audience For One’ has more depth and complexity to it, which is a good thing and shows how they have grown as a band and crafted their unique style. Their new album should be a good listen judging by this single.
