Since the release of their album When The World Comes Down, the All American Rejects have enjoyed the success of their first single ‘Gives You Hell’. They have moved away from their previous punky, pop-rock style and produced a song with lots of musical depth and sincerity. It is slower than previous songs and it does not contain the usual power chords, but there is still a very clear, crisp prominent drumbeat, which is a characteristic of most AAR songs.
