A man has fallen from a top floor window outside Jesters nightclub.
The 21-year-old, who is thought to have been visiting a friend from Southampton University, fell from the 2nd floor at around 00.30 on Sunday morning.
It is unclear exactly how the man gained access to the top floor of the building, made up of offices and residential rooms, as it is not part of the nightclub itself and therefore closed to patrons.
A large crowd gathered at the scene outside the entrance, which was cordoned off by police for around an hour while onlookers were kept at bay.
A team of Paramedics worked at stabilising the man for almost 40 minutes before placing him on a stretcher and taking him to Southampton General Hospital.
Eyewitnesses at the address on Bevois Valley Road described the man as responsive when placed in the ambulance.
His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
Staff working at the nightclub and police were unavailable for comment.
