Lisa Falquero Withdraws from Elections

The second drop-out of this year’s elections has come in the form of Lisa Falquero, formerly a candidate in the race for VP Student Engagement.

She has said that the intensity of her course would prevent her from being able to do justice to both her campaign and academic interests.

Deputy Returning Officer Joe Mclo has said her move is ‘regrettable’. Lisa is the second candidate to pull out of the elections, the first being Jocelyn Makin last week, who also cited academic pressures as her reasoning.

This has meant that VP Engagement is now being contested by Natalie Ralph, Robert Leane and Shane Murphy. Their manifestos are available to view here.
