Man Charged after Double Stabbing


Last night Southampton Police charged a man in connection with the stabbing of two men  on Wednesday, February 20.

The attack happened in the city centre, outside Sir Stanley Kimber Halls of Residence owned by Southampton Solent University. Two male students aged 18 and 23 suffered stab wounds.  Find out more here. On Wednesday evening a man was arrested in connection with the incident. A manhunt was organised after the knife was found left at the scene.

Police have charged 20 year old Hamza Himdy of Clarendon Road, Luton with possession of an offensive weapon and two charges of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.

Himdy will appear before Southampton Magistrates this morning, Friday, February 22.
