Save the Children take over Jesters

2

The Southampton University Save the Children society has recently been set up in order to raise awareness of the charity and to let you know how you can help us.

All children deserve a happy, healthy childhood, and YOUR support can help make this possible.

On the 19th May 2011 Save the Children are taking over Jesters.

Come show your support and help us to raise money to Save the Children. The theme for the night will be ‘What I Wanted to Be When I Was Younger…’ so come dressed as anything from a ballerina to an astronaut, a doctor to a builder – anything goes.

We will have:

  • Candyfloss
  • Face painting
  • Balloons
  • Stickers
  • And many more fun things to take you back to your childhood

No child was born to die. We were born to have fun. Come and join in the fun at Jesters on the 19th.

Tickets are £2 in advance and will be sold on campus. Keep a look out for our posters. Tickets can also be bought by emailing any one of the following addresses:

Alicia: ab29g09@soton.ac.uk
Emily: eu2g09@soton.ac.uk
Ben: bm8g09@soton.ac.uk
Tom: tad1g08@soton.ac.uk
Yara: yast1g09@soton.ac.uk

ALL Money raised will go to the Save the Children charity

Money will also be raised throughout the night through your donations.

Just £3 will give a child in Vietnam enough rice for a whole month… and the more we raise, the more children we can help. £50 will provide 200 children in Bangladesh with fresh, safe drinking water.

If you would like to get involved there are lots of ways to do it… visit www.savethechildren.org.uk for ideas, and join our Facebook group at Soton Uni Save the Children.

We help Save the Children. Will you?
