‘Beyond These Limits’:The Upcoming Art Exhibition In Winchester

‘Beyond These Limits’ is a collection of Winchester School of Art’s Second Year students  paintings, sculptures and new media. The self-initiated project explores limitations, such as time and space, the use of materials and political and economical concerns in today’s society.

The private view takes place in the Brooks Centre, Winchester, from 4 – 6pm on 28th April, to which everyone is welcome to attend. The exhibition is then open everyday 10am – 5.30pm (4.30 pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays).

There is a programme of events to coincide with the theme of ‘Beyond these Limits’ such as word games, an edible sculpture, live painting and a live performance via Skype.

This exihibtion sounds very exciting, we look forward to seeing how these Students have explored and pondered the boundaries of physical limitations in the world around us, and how they have done so visually using different media.

As I sit on my sofa by the warm fire, it is a delight to read your posts from mid-Atlantic. Quite aainmzg really!Regarding showering with one hand, reminds me of needing to bend over to use top of my head against the door for balance, as we lurched to port. Seems funny now, but not at the time!Although we don’t know each other, good to hear the crossing is going so well.Looking forward to seeing your pictures of whales, flying fish and distant Atlantic horizons. It must be truly aainmzg.Mari- Toronto, Canada
