Soapbox Press, a venture jointly set up by former Wessex Scene editors Emily Cotton and Nicola Manuel, is set to release a book on the 14th of June.
The book, titled This Way Up, is to commemorate the one year anniversary of the website, and will include a variety of content reflecting the output of the site. Soapbox Press is built on the four tenets of articles, interviews, book reviews and visualisation, and the content of the book will draw on these four areas.
This publication will follow their June 2012 effort The Winchester Journals, which featured ten articles written by students from Winchester School of Arts.
Cotton, who is the Marketing and Campaigns Manager for Soapbox Press, said:
The focus of art and design is generally on practical design, but writing is another creative outlet often forgotten about within the arts. Thus, Soapbox Press provides the platform for the creative voice.
This Way Up will be available to download from 9am on the 14th on issuu.
