The Enactus team from Southampton has made its way to the final four of the Enactus World Cup in Cancun, Mexico.
Enactus, formerly known as SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise), is a non-profit organisation with groups in universities across the globe. The Southampton team, led by Charlotte Pearce, are representing the UK at the championships.
The team presented their project to the judges this evening: the main concept being the turning of human waste into fertiliser and sewing sanitary towels for rural villages.
This is the first time that the UK team have reached the finals. Southampton Enactus made it to the semi-finals last year in Washington D.C. They are joined in the final four by Nigeria, Germany and Puerto Rico. The winner will be announced tonight, and you can watch the ceremony live here.
