Burger Meal Deal Removed from SUSU Café Menu

The Burger Meal Deal in SUSU Café has been eradicated from the menu.

The Burger Meal Deal in SUSU Café included a burger with a choice of cheese, salad and bacon, two sides, chips and a medium drink for £4.95 and had been a long time item of the menu.

Each item can be bought individually but would now be almost a third more than the Meal Deal price.

This sudden and unexplained change in the menu without telling or consulting students has once again brought up the issue of SUSU’s perceived lack of communication and care for what students want.

Wessex Scene contacted Nathan Ruttley the student who initially voiced his concerned:

This exemplifies SUSU’s systematic failure to involve students in any decision that impacts them, particularly no cheap and filling lunch available on campus.Staff have been strongly discouraged from giving us contact details for SUSU catering, meaning that it is harder for us to complain.

Previously, café staff had reportedly been providing feedback forms to complaining students and advised them to email catering@susu.org.
