Victory for University of Southampton University Challenge Team


On Monday 26th October, the University of Southampton University Challenge team was featured on BBC Two facing Queen Mary, University of London.

After a loss in the first round, the University of Southampton team came out on top in a 235 point win. Queen Mary achieved 120 points.

Participant and ex-student William Cable said taking part was;

A surreal but incredibly rewarding experience.

The team consisted of Captain and PhD student Tricia Goggin, History Masters student William Cable, Chemistry student Sarah Stock and Biology student Rowland Sadler.

Try outs for the 2016 University Challenge team have been taking place this week.
