The Total Wipeout Tour Probably is a Scam

The ‘Total Wipeout Tour’ that has been popping up on your Facebook feeds recently is a scam, according to the IB Times.

The event, which is under the name ‘Total Wipeout Tour – Southampton’ for the Southampton ‘event’ has apparently been created as a means to gather information about students, including their emails, addresses and preferred University choices. There have been similar many pages set up for different events across the country.

The page itself is believed to have been created in order to generate ‘likes’, which would transfer into more money from advertisers if and when the page changes to something else.

So it looks like Total Wipeout won’t be coming to Southampton this year – sorry!
