Body Discovered In Southampton


As reported by The Daily Echo, the body of a 42 year old man was found on Wolverton Road, St Mary’s in Southampton in the early hours of this morning, after a fire broke out.

Four garages, near the junction of Derby road, have been taped off, after the body was discovered in a garage. Police, firefighters and forensic officers have been on the scene.

Shortly after midnight, a fire engine was noticed by Jaguar Singh, 46, a resident of Derby Road. One garage door was broken and there was reportedly the smell of smoke in the air.

A team from Southampton City Council arrived today to board up the garages.

The death is not currently being treated as suspicious, however the investigation is still ongoing. Police have thus far refused to confirm the nature of the incident.
