The University of Southampton has fallen three places in league tables published by The Complete University Guide.
Southampton is 17th place in the 2017 edition of the league table, compared to 14th place in the 2016 rankings.
The rankings assess universities in four different areas: entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality and graduate prospects, which are combined to produce an overall score.
Southampton scored 821 points overall, compared to the 1000 points of top-ranked Cambridge University and the 998 points of second-ranked University of Oxford. London School of Economics was ranked third with a total of 940 points.
