Teenager Arrested On Suspicion of Westridge Road Murder


A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Michael Freshwater in Southampton last week.

The body of Mr Freshwater was found on Westridge Road at approximately 4.15pm on Friday 29th April. The road was closed for several hours while police carried out forensic investigations.

The teenager, who is reported to be 16 years old and from Kent, is currently in police custody. This is the ninth arrest to be made in connection with the incident.
