Southampton police have made four arrests following raids carried out at addresses in Golden Grove, Shirley Road and The Polygon. Those arrested are being questioned on suspicion of being connected with modern day slavery.
The four included a 32-year-old woman and three men aged 28, 29 and 30 years who have been arrested on suspicion of offences under the Sexual Offences Act. It is thought that those involved were keeping a brothel and have been bailed until January.
Detective Inspector Matthew Barcraft-Barnes said yesterday: “We have made a number of arrests as part of this operation and continue to investigate activity at these premises. We would encourage anyone who has information which could assist us to come forward.”
Police advise anyone with information to contact 101 quoting ‘Operation Brick’.
