A man has died after plunging from the top of Southampton’s IKEA store complex.
The man jumped from the complex at around 11:30 am, the Daily Echo reports.
Police officers attended to the scene to find a man with “serious injuries”.
Salma Azad, IKEA Southampton store manager, told the Daily Echo: “We can confirm that this morning an individual was found deceased in an area next to our store.
“The safety and security of all co-workers and customers is always our highest priority and we are now supporting the emergency services on-site.
“The area is closed to the public, however the store is still open as usual. Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the individual.”
