The body found in a bin in the Empress Industrial Estate has been identified.
Jamie Dack, a 22-year-old man from Millbrook Road West, was found burnt in an industrial bin in the early hours of Easter Sunday by fire crew working on another incident.
Mr Dack was a previous student at Totton College, and had worked at Modelzone in Southampton’s City Centre.
A 31-year-old man, a 28-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman have all been arrested on suspicion of murder, and are being held for questioning until midnight tonight, Tuesday 10th April.
Police are still looking for evidence and are asking local residents to come forward with any information they may have.
It is believed that Mr Dack knew his attackers, and the incident is not being treated as a random attack.
They are looking for any news of suspicious activity in the vicinity anytime between Thursday, April 5 and around 3am on Sunday, April 8. The areas that prove prominent in the investigation include popular Student roads such as Cedar Road, Earls Road, Bevois Valley Road and Spear Road, amongst others in the surrounding area.
