The survey, carried out annually by The Times, rates universities across the country according to categories such as high-quality lectures, a good environment on campus, and good support and welfare.
Last year Southampton University placed 10th place, and this year has joined Cambridge, Sheffield, Oxford and UEA among others in the top ten. The University of Dundee was achieved the top place in the results.
The survey, conducted by YouthSight, a market research firm, had a record number of participants this year, with over 14,000 Undergraduate students voicing their opinions.
