BBC News to interview Union Sabb at Piazza tomorrow morning

Tomorrow morning BBC News will come to Highfield campus.

VP Welfare and Communities, Chloe Green, will be interviewed on £9000 tuition fees and on the changing state of Higher Education.

‘Tune into BBC Breakfast tomorrow at 6am/7am/8am to see me be interviewed on 9K fees and the changing landscape of Higher Education! Eeep!’

BBC News will be filming the Piazza at 7.20am and again at 8.20am. Piazza has invited customers to come down to the restaurant, where you can get a free coffee (excluding Starbucks) between 7-7.30am and 8-8.15am – along with the possibility of appearing on television.

I spoke to a member of the café’s staff earlier about the impromptu visit from the BBC. Ricardo said:

“[the BBC]will be recording from 6 til 8 o’ clock in this building; they don’t give me any more details about what the filming will be about. In the management meeting they just said BBC will be around tomorrow between 6 and 8.”

A message on the University of Southampton Catering Facebook page read:

Tomorrow morning at 7.20am, BBC News will be filming, live at our very own Piazza – if you want to be on TV tomorrow morning, head down and grab yourself a FREE coffee in Piazza between 7am and 7.30am 🙂

Watch BBC News tomorrow morning to see what Chloe Green has to say, or alternatively head down to Piazza for the filming.
