Man charged after Southampton firearms incident


A man has been charged with firearms related offences after an incident in which a gun was allegedly drawn during an argument between two people in Southampton.

The man is said to have drawn a gun on Saturday Afternoon, between 2-3pm in Kingsdown Way, Southampton, during an argument between two people in the street.

An 18 year old local, of no fixed abode, has been arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and two charges of possession of a prohibited weapon with intent to cause fear of violence. He will appear before Southampton Magistrates Court today, Monday 8th October.

While Police are keen to reassure the public that this is an unusual and isolated incident, they are keen to know of anyone who may have witnessed this and encourage you to get in contact if this is the case.
