Eight People Arrested and Five Due in Court Following Burglaries Across the South


Eight people have been arrested and five are due in court following a series of nineteen burglaries which took place at homes and businesses between October 1st 2014 and December 15th 2014 across the south.

Six warrants were executed in Southampton by Hampshire Constabulary on the morning of February 2nd 2015 at the following addresses:

  • North East Road
  • Lime Street
  • Burgess Road
  • Carnation Road
  • Avalon House
  • Underwood Road

During the searches, it has been reported that officers seized property including clothing, phones, computer equipment and jewellery.

One of the warrants was executed in Burgess Road, situated close to the university.

Max Alexander, 24, of Bluebell Road, Fardeen Hamidy, 21, of Bursledon Road, James Poole, 21, of Rosoman Road, David Brown, 27, Lime Street and Matthew Lang, 26, of Carnation Road have all been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.

Five other people from Southampton including three women aged 19, 21, and 28 and two men aged 19 and 38 have also been arrested in connection with the burglaries.

All five have been bailed pending further enquiries until April 9th.
