At the Brazilian Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing were victorious with a one-two win, securing them their first constructor’s championship in the team’s short six year history. Sebastian Vettel won from second on the grid, leaving Mark Webber chasing his fumes to cross the line in second. Current championship leader Fernando Alonso finished in third, and is now leading the championship by eight points.
Red Bull technical director, Adrian Newey, studied at the University of Southampton and graduated in 1981. He gained a First Class honours degree in aeronautics and astronautics and wrote a thesis on ground-effect aerodynamics before being employed by Fittipaldi Formula One.
