Men’s Lacrosse take on Gloucester University

In a hard fought match which saw a Gloucester player taken to hospital for a dislocated shoulder, a depleted Southampton Tridents team fell on the wrong side of the 8-6 scoreline.

The Tridents are currently suffering from injuries to a number of senior players including their defensive captain. However, the side showed plenty of commitment and Lacrosse president Tom Clements was quick to praise their defence. “It was a good game and the defence are constantly improving, but more movement in attack is needed.” Clements also felt that considering around fifty percent of the match squad against Gloucester were freshers, with a little more experience they had the makings of a very competitive squad.
